My Final Birchbox: May 2015

Hello lovelies!  This is my final Birchbox and it was Birchbox x Cupcakes and Cashmere, a blogger I love so I was incredibly excited.  I was going to cancel before May but once I heard it was the blogger box, I couldn’t!  So here I am, posting my last Birchbox…spoiler: it was my favorite Birchbox I’ve ever gotten!

Cost: $10.00 per month, $110 per year, free shipping

The rewards: Every review of a product you receive in your box, you earn 10 points. If you refer a friend and they use the link you send them, you get 50 points per person. In no time you will rack up 100 points which translates to $10.00 to use in the Birchbox shop. Only when you get 100 points do you get $10.00, if you have 60 points, you currently have $0.00 in rewards.  You can earn as much as you can save!

So here’s the deal: “Each month, you’ll receive a selection of samples that we’ve tried (and retried) ourselves. We source our samples from both well-known brands and emerging gems. The women’s subscription includes everything from skincare to makeup, as well as fun non-beauty extras. The men’s subscription delivers top-tier grooming products in addition to lifestyle accessories ranging from hip socks to tech accessories.”

Once again, they offered the chance to pick one of your samples and I did not choose one.  I preferred to get a box full of surprises and this one was a great surprise!  I also love the light design of the box!

What’s Inside:

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water
Sample Size: 5ml  Value: $1.31

Harvey Prince Sea Salt Hair Mist
Sample Size: 8ml  Value: $1.00

I was about to buy the full size of this primer when I got this in the mail!  This was the highlight of this box for me and I am so happy to have gotten it!  I love that it can be used as a primer or a setting spray!  The sea salt spray is one I am all over this summer!  And it smells so good while giving great texture!  I mentioned it in this post talking about my summer essentials!  Both of these are samples I use often and I’m glad I got them!  Both are good sizes but the primer water especially since it has such quality packaging, with a good amount in it to actually try it!

Aruba Aloe Luxe Foot Creme
Sample Size: 1 oz   Value: $9.00

Marcelle Clay Mask
Sample Size: 15ml  Value: $2.23

IMG_4325

This foot cream smells SO GOOD!  I use it every night and it keeps my feet so soft!  It has a great fresh scent with an aloe scent mixed with mint.  It is super thick and moisturizing which is amazing now that I’ll be showing off my feet more in sandals!  And it is a HUGE sample, half the full size!  This mask is great because it is really basic, meaning it isn’t some fancy thing with all sorts of active ingredients that will interfere with my skin care!  It has very little to no scent so it’s more comfortable to have on my face!  And also, it is paraben free, gluten free, perfume free, hypo-allergenic, and all-natural!

Peripera Peri’s Tint Water in Stawberry Juice
Sample Size: 2.5 ml   Value: $4.83

IMG_4327

I love this tint water because it stays on forever and really stains my lips!  The color is great for summer since it’s bright strawberry color!  It’s really easy to get a just bitten look with this as well!  This is a Korean beauty product and I’ve always wanted to try some Korea products and this one definitely left a great impression!

This was literally one swipe so on top of already pinkish lips, this makes a beautiful buildable shade!

Total: $18.37!

  • Smashbox Primer Water – $1.31
  • Harvey Prince Salt Mist – $1.00
  • Aruba Aloe Luxe Foot Creme – $9.00
  • Marcelle Clay Mask – $2.23
  • Peripera Peri’s Tint – $4.83

This was by far my favorite Birchbox, you can look at all 17 here.  I loved everything so much, I was about to list everything that I liked but I realized that I love and use every single product I got.  You might be thinking, Sofia how could you cancel after this?  Well, most boxes I’ve gotten for maybe 6 months now have just been okay.  I needed to switch to ipsy so I wasn’t wasting my money and just to change it up!  If you want to sign up for Birchbox, you can do so here.

What did you get in your May box?  Let me know!

xoxo

  1. Your last box is amazing! I would have loved to have gotten those things lol. My Birchboxes seem to be just okay lately. I’m hoping they’ll get better. I think you will really love Ipsy though. I am really happy with the Ipsy bag I got this month and can’t wait to see what you get in your first one! 🙂 xoxo

    1. I just got it yesterday and just finished editing the photos so I’m hoping I’ll get ipsy up faster than my Birchboxes usually get posted! I really loved what I got, no melted lipstick though sadly. I’d say it’s better than 50% of my Birchboxes which is awesome! I also like that there’s a makeup bag not a box because I don’t really know how to use all those boxes! hahah xoxo
